Rectangular Canopies

Our range of timber canopies can come in a variety of sizes to suit your schools individual needs. We have built them between classrooms to create a dry walkway or attached them to an early years classroom to extend the useable space into the playground.

Our canopies come with premium polycarbonate sheets that filter out 98% of harmful UV rays. The polycarbonate sheets can come in either opal or a wide range of colours to provide colourful and safe shade in your playground.

Outdoor Classrooms

Our range of timber Hexagonal and Octagonal Outdoor Classrooms provide the perfect opportunity for socialising and learning outdoors. They come in a variety of sizes and can be designed to your specific needs with additional seating, flooring and side panels.

Outdoor Classrooms create a dedicated space for learning outdoors and a change to the traditional indoor setting. They can also provide shelter during inclement weather for parents, staff and pupils.

Shade Sails

Shade Sails are a popular addition to many playgrounds providing shade and UV protection. They are lightweight, constructed from heavy-duty HDPE shade fabric and have been specifically designed to meet a wide range of weather conditions.

They come in two options; permanent or detachable.

Permanent Shade Sails are constructed with heavy duty galvanised steel posts and are designed to withstand 300mm of snowfall and British weather conditions. Unlike Detachable Shade Sails they do not need to be removed in inclement weather.

Detachable Sail Shades are constructed with timber posts and are designed to survive moderate wind and weather conditions of the British summer. They will need to be removed in high winds or heavy snowfall.

the dbdplay experience

At dbdplay, we design bespoke playgrounds according to the space and the exact needs and wants of your school. The only limit is your imagination!

Because safety and durability are a top priority, all our play equipment is built from FSC approved timber, treated to stay solid through wet, cold, and frequent use for many years to come.

All expert installations are carried out by either our own team or trusted, regular contractors.

Super exited to see the New Secondary Playground being transformed for our learners, how lovely to see them enjoying their new outdoor area. The outdoors is a key learning and play environment for our learners. Being outside allows them to interact with their environment, greatly aiding their development. DBD met extremely short deadlines and the customer service was excellent.

Calthorpe Academy

Birmingham

We are absolutely thrilled with the new play equipment which was installed over the Easter holidays.

The equipment includes lots of different sections, and the ground area around the equipment has been levelled out and resurfaced, making it a much more usable space.

Thank you.

Redland Primary School

Our most complex learners are now better able to engage with an increasing range of outdoor learning opportunities.

Outdoor spaces are vital to help those who experience multi-sensory processing difficulties develop their senses and gain and understanding of their place in the world.

The garden will not only enable a more holistic learning experience but will support overall health and wellbeing.
