...and they're not the only ones!
Shelters, canopies, gazebos have been really popular these last few years. It is always a pleasure for DBDplay to create these shelters and other aspects into a school design according to the style that suits each individual site. Not just in terms of size, purpose and in terms of the materials used.
- Wansdyke Primary School wanted a canopy for their early years children to encourage free flow play from classroom to outdoors whilst being contained! You may have gathered that we like to be different so why have a utility fence when we can create this activity filled fence for the same budget?
- DBDplaylike a challenge! Malmesbury Primary School... curved building, raising up the ground level, artificial grass, two canopies, two stages, two raised beds, two sandpits and two perspex art boards but the end result was very happy children (and teachers!) Challenged complete!
- Langley Fitzurse original buildings were erected in 1856 so we chose oak, cedar and stone to compliment the character of the existing buildings for a parent shelter.
Here's what they thought!
"We have used DBDplay for several school projects, the most recent being a parents' waiting shelter. Once again we were impressed with the bespoke design that Sarah and her team produced for us. The attention to detail to ensure the shelter complimented the Victorian aspects of our school has been noticed and admired by many. The whole project was seamlessly managed by DBDplay, which included not just the design and installation of the oak shelter, but the planning application too. It was completed on time, and on budget. We are looking forward to working with them again in the future."
